Recently I asked my friends one question: if they could be anything and if money was not an issue, what in the world would they be? ALL of their responses made me smile because all of their answers were perfect for who they are as individuals. The Bible says in Psalm 139:14, “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Personally, I think that we forget sometimes that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. In all of our uniqueness and little quirks, we are us, and God made us who we are, and we should celebrate that! This is the celebration of my friends and their creativity of what they would be if they could be anything:

Max Wadsworth UGA ‘21 Turf Management @mwadsworth22

“Travel vlogger 100%. Travel the world, see as much as I can. Document everything. See the big stuff, find the stuff kept quiet. Do it for like 6 months and visit as many countries as possible. Hopefully all 7 continents”

Lindsey Rhodes GCSU ‘22 Mass Communications @lindseyyyrhodessss

“I would travel the world and go to the best restaurant in every country to see what’s best about each one”

Michael Konyeaso GCSU ‘22 Biology @m.konyeaso

“I’d be an NBA player cause that’s a lit life.”

Bailey Ellis

UNG ‘23

Special Education

@bellis_31 “I’d be a stay at home mom. I would have the freedom to do what I want when I wanted and wouldn’t have to be stuck in an office all day.” I asked Bailey how many kids she would want. She said, “Three at the most…or none I’ll just be a stay at home wife.” If you know Bailey, you know this is the most Bailey Ellis statement EVER.

@maddiiehill

"I'd probably want to be a missionary and just do mission work around the world bc you get to travel to so many places and also help people, so that would be cool. I went to Honduras twice on mission trips and that was super fun and cool so definitely something like that I think"

Hannah Byrom UGA ‘22 Civil Engineering @hannah_byrom10 “In all honesty, I would be a teacher, preferably early childhood but they just don’t get paid or the credit they deserve and retirement isn’t like it used to be. Also with my degree, if money wasn’t an issue I’d love to start a non-profit organization that funds an engineering firm to build water treatment facilities in countries that need it” Hannah Byrom. A heart of gold.

Emma Smith GCSU ‘22 Sociology @_emmaalexis_ “Okay well, I love taking pictures and capturing little moments so I would to be a famous, or just well-known photographer, I know I don’t show it often but I love taking pictures of people and events, it makes me happy when people are happy with the results.”

Pierce Sanders

UGA ‘22

Environmental Health Science @_pierce_sanders_ “I’d probably be either the Hawks or Braves team doctor because I love helping people and I would get to help players through injuries and get them back to the field/court. And I would be courtside/in the dugout every game”

Laura Fletcher VSU ‘22 Economics @laurafletcher4 “I would be a public speaker. They have so much confidence to stand on a stage and share their thoughts or findings.” I asked La what she would speak about and to whom. She responded with, “whatever was on my mind and an audience, like a Ted Talk.”

Charlie Winsor GCSU ‘22 Management @charles_winsor “Either a firefighter because it’s a fulfilling job and it’s fun and every day is something new. OR a dairy farmer in Montana. Because, I’ve always wanted to go to Montana and ride horses and heard cattle and live out in the middle of nowhere. Or a senator in DC. Or an FBI/secret service doing presidential detail would be cool. Or a para-rescue jumper in the Air Force.” I had to cut Charlie off…

Jacob Epps

GCSU ‘22 Information Systems @jacobepps “Okay but a brain surgeon. That’s cool.”

Jack Ochoa GCSU ‘22 Business

@jackochoa22

“Probably a navy seal or Air Force special forces. I want to do that.”

AJ Debose GCSU ‘22 Information Systems @ajdebose “I would most likely be a king of a second world country, not third world though.”

Olivia Harrison UGA ‘22 Biology pre PA @oliviahharrison “I would join an organization that would travel and build/develop places and teach in under developed countries. I genuinely want to travel and immerse myself in other cultures and learn but there’s no money in that! I do think about it every once in a while."

Parker Eades UGA ‘22 Marketing @peades10 “I would probably wanna be a dragon. I could breathe fire and fly which is pretty cool. Forget having a job, I’m gonna be a dragon.” I just…um...ok

Caroline Doran GCSU ‘22 Business @cdoran_5 “I would be a labor and delivery nurse because you get to help bring life into the world. Sorry kinda lame but it’s honest.”

Ragan Byrom UGA ‘23 Marketing pre-law @raganbyrom “I truly think I would love and enjoy SO many different careers. Like part of me wants to be a veterinarian because of my love for animals, but honestly, I don’t know if I could do that like put dogs down or put something in their butt like I couldn’t. And part of me truly wants to be an attorney because I think the system needs to be fixed and I truly have a passion for justice and helping others. But I’m not a reader I’m just not and that’s a lot of reading and school. But also, I would absolutely LOVE to be a digital marketing manager... you get to travel!!! You get to design websites and ads for a living!! it would be so fun but like would I miss out on my passion for law ya know? I have so many different interests. And I want to become certified in ASL and I eventually want to own my own business. and I want to help the homeless with my business and needy families. eventually nonprofit. like maybe a small lawyer and have my firm with limited cases and then marketing on the side but I don’t travel as much.”

Madison Gasque GCSU ‘21 Psychology @madisongasque “I would be a traveling food employer. Wait is that weird?”

Ansley Robinson GCSU ’20

Mass Communications @ansley_robinson “I would open my own coffee shop called 'RooBee coffee' (came up with the name a couple of years ago). I’m most content in coffee shops so I’ve always wanted to open my own :-)”

Mark Perry UGA ‘21 Mechanical Engineering @mjperry123 “I think that I would like to be a singer song writer. I don’t want to be too famous but play in dingy hole in the wall places around the country/world. I would play beautiful music with my guitar that I inherited from my grandfather. I wouldn’t make too much money, but just enough to provide for my wife. The reason why I would do this is because I enjoy music, I believe music is an expression of ones self and it is one of the best ways to connect with people on an emotional level without words. I want to play in hole in the wall places because I enjoy the rustic atmosphere. The reason I don’t make a lot of money and just want to provide for my wife is because I don’t want to be tempted to become big headed and selfish, regretting my relationship with my wife lol.”

Daniel VanHoozer UGA ‘20 Advertising @daniel.vanhoozer “I’d want to be an independent creative director for some of my favorite companies like Disney, Adidas, Chubbies and Golf Wang to make movies, music, shoes, and clothes”

Kristen Huffstutler UGA ‘22 Communications @k.huff “Honestly it’s a tossup between being an actress and running a school somewhere in a third world country haha”

Caroline Kulp UNG '22 Undecided @caroline_kulp “A STAY AT HOME MOM” I asked why and she said, “Because I can be a free loader and take care of my kids.” She is unmatched.

As for me I think I would do what I'm pursing now, but to spice things up, I would be a screenwriter or a director. I think making up a story or shedding light and having it come to life for other people to see and enjoy is the coolest thing. Everyone enjoys movies, and if you don't you haven't seen any good ones yet and I am so sorry for that.

I love all of my friends responses because I love who they are. Every single person in this article makes me feel valued and validated in who I am. They fill me with joy and give me confidence! Maybe ask your friends what they would be if they could be anything! What would you be?
